cakes with roses

^ i am really loving this cake right now, it looks so elegant and feminine with the lace like design.

^ i love pearls so i definitely love the pearl design at the base of every tier and i love that the cake is simple, leaving the elaborate design to the platter.

^ this cake has some ugly scribble on it but the rose petals are awesome, and again there's the pearls at the base of every tier. gorgeous pink.

cinderella flutes and cake knife & server set

favors: handmade cambodian silk roses

money well spent! these cambodian silk roses are handmade by girls who were victims of sex trafficking, 100% of profits go to these girls. i'm definitely going to use these flowers as boutonnières, still undecided about leaving them on the table or handing them to the guests upon arrival.

ring pillow

this would make a cool ring pillow, with or without the shoe. although people probably won't get the purple pillow with gold tassles unless the glass slipper is on there.

bridesmaids: the new bouquet

i've read that in mexico, brides or bridesmaids carry fans in lieu of bouquets. i like that for a couple reasons; it's cheaper and it's different! i'm pretty traditional when it comes to weddings but i like spicing things up with something out of the ordinary. i hadn't seen any photos of bridesmaids with fans but this turned out better than i had envisioned. now i'm wondering if it just comes off as cheap or if people will accept the cultural meaning behind it, although i am still unsure if authentic mexican weddings still use fans.

now how perfect is this for a chinese wedding?

...but the fan with the pink silk roses is perfect for my wedding! according to my research, fans aren't as cheap as i thought they were. some are even a few hundred dollars! can martha stewart do a "how to" tutorial on fans?

reception: lounge areas

i really want a relaxing/fun/sexy lounge area like this. now the question is, can a broke ass bride afford to have something like this?! or at least a cheaper version??
